The Norwood Community was saddened to hear about the passing of Alan Shawn Feinstein over the past weekend. Mr. Feinstein generously gave us his time and resources to help improve the lives of our students. His programs have allowed students to be “Ambassadors of Kindness” recognizing acts of kindness throughout the schools. He has provided students with opportunities to experience activities outside of school with his Junior Scholar Club as well as the chance to “Do Good Deeds” with the Golden Ticket Program.
Norwood is proud to be a Feinstein Leadership School and we are so very appreciative of all the support the Feinstein Foundation has given to our school and our families. We will continue to honor his legacy with our Feinstein Food Pantry and our Kindness Tree. We will make sure that his message of Kindness and making the world a better place lives on at Norwood.
We wish to extend our condolences to the entire Feinstein Family and the Feinstein Foundation during this time.
On Friday 9/13/24 volunteers will be painting game areas on our blacktop. We are asking families to please not use the blacktop tomorrow. There will be cones and signs up as well.

Students should not be lined up before 8:50. If you are at the school before that time your student must stay with you. We do not have supervision prior to 8:50. Please be considerate of others while dropping off and picking up. Please see the traffic patterns below.

Breakfast is served at 8:40 each morning in the cafeteria. If your student is interested in having breakfast at school please drop them off at the front door at this time. If they take a bus or daycare van they will be dropped off in time for breakfast.
Only students having breakfast should arrive at 8:40 - all others arrive at 8:50. Thank you.

Chromebook Repairs - In the event that a student's Chromebook is in need of repair, we will be offering three drop off locations this summer. Repairs can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 9am and 12pm. Please see below for the location closest to you.
Students who attend Cedar Hill, Greenwood, Park, Robertson, Scott, Toll Gate High School and Winman Middle School can drop off a device in need of repair to Toll Gate High School (Main Entrance).
Students who attend Lippitt, Oakland Beach, Sherman, Warwick Neck and Veterans Memorial Middle School can drop off a device in need of repair to Veterans Memorial Middle School (Main Entrance).
Students who attend Hoxsie, Holliman, WELC, Norwood, Pilgrim High School and Wyman can drop off a device in need of repair to Pilgrim High School (Main Entrance).
A repair form will be available at the drop-off locations where you can describe the problem and also provide a phone number for us to contact you once the repair is complete.
Summer Meal distribution will take place Monday-Friday at two locations starting July 8th. 383 Oakland Beach Ave, the parking lot across from Oakland Beach Elementary from 11:15-12:00 PM. Or, the Conimicut Library located at 55 Beach Ave from 12:30-1:15 PM.
Out of an abundance of caution and due to the predicted excessive heat on Thursday, June 20th, Warwick Public Schools are dismissing all students, faculty and staff 2 1/2 hours early. Norwood School student will be dissmissed at 12:40pm.
